Dear El Gato Veterinary Hospital Client:
Rapidly changing Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns worldwide and in our area make it important that you know we work diligently to provide a clean and safe hospital for you and your pet. The hospital environs are cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized throughout the day to prevent the spread of illness and disease. We increased this attention, especially in public spaces, with more frequent disinfection of handles, counters, and seating areas. When you come for your appointment, please feel free to use the hand sanitizer located on the front desk. Additionally, staff are aware of the signs and symptoms of the illness and will not report to work if they are ill or suspect they have been exposed.
You can assist us in assuring as safe a hospital environment as possible. Please do not come in if you have any acute respiratory symptoms like those shown below, or if you visited any affected countries recently regardless of any symptoms. We will gladly re-schedule your appointment.
To help you help your fellow clients and us, understand that COVID-19 symptoms are similar to the cold or flu, and may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure. Severe cases may lead to pneumonia, kidney failure, or death. Mild symptoms may include:
- Fever
- Headache
- Runny nose and sneezing
- Cough and sore throat
- Difficulty breathing
- Muscle pain and weakness
- Chills and fatigue
- Impaired liver and kidney function
