What to do during an emergency:
If your pet is experiencing any of the following symptoms during business hours (M-F 9:00 am – 5:00 pm), please call us immediately at 408-356-2181 to discuss the symptoms. If these are happening after hours, please reach out directly to the local emergency pet hospitals listed below.
- Trauma (hit by car, fall, broken bones, laceration, bitten by another animal)
- Seizures
- Breathing Problems ( gasping for air, loud breath sounds)
- Foreign Body (Choking)
- Urinary / Bowel Emergency – no regular urination or bowel movement noted, straining to urinate or defecate, bloody discharge
- Snake bite
- Collapse

Depending on the circumstances, we may advise you to come to our office immediately to provide supportive care and stabilize the patient for transport to the emergency hospital.
